Central Coast market leaders since 1985

Active Audio & TV has been a driving force in the audio visual industry for more than 35 years — and remains the name Central Coast homeowners, venues and building managers turn to when the job has to be right.

What began in 1985 with PA hire and Craig's first shop in Killarney Vale has grown into one of the Central Coast's largest audio visual presences — from a major footprint at The Entrance through to today's operations across Central Coast. Live sound, PA hire, TV antenna installation, MATV, home theatre, Starlink and commercial audio — built on decades of doing every job from lug-in to pack-down.

“Whether it is a festival stage, an apartment head-end or a club sound system — the standard is the same. Spec it properly, install it neatly, and make sure it performs.”

Leadership

Craig Beltran — engineer, musician, market leader

Craig Beltran has been one of the most active figures in the Central Coast audio visual industry for more than 35 years — a market leader whose career spans the mixing desk, the venue floor, the workshop and the rooftop.

Craig has done it all. From lug-in to pack-down — loading gear, engineering live sound, mixing on stage and packing up after the last encore. As a musician with Spruce Goose, he worked with nationally recognised artists and some of the best production crews in the business. He mixed live tribute bands for many of Australia's most popular artists — including Doug Parkinson — and managed both bands and venues at a time when the Central Coast live-music scene was thriving.

That is not background noise on a résumé. It is why Active Audio & TV hears what others miss — and why venues, body corporates and homeowners across the Central Coast still call Craig when the job demands a true professional.

Our roots

Killarney Vale to The Entrance — live sound built this company

PA hire was there from the start. Craig's first shop in Killarney Vale put professional audio on the map locally — and the business grew into a major presence at The Entrance, one of the Central Coast's best-known entertainment hubs.

From the 1980s, Active Audio & TV supplied PA systems for every scale — intimate venue gigs, functions, outdoor events and festival stages. Through the 1990s, a solid customer base formed around band mixing, live tribute shows for popular artists, and the full production cycle Craig knows inside out: lug-in, engineering, mixing and pack-down. Artists like Doug Parkinson, tribute bands and headline acts — Craig mixed them, managed the bands and ran the venues.

  • PA hire — 1980s to today — compact rigs to large-format systems for any event
  • Live tribute & headline mixing — Doug Parkinson and tribute artists for Australia's biggest names
  • Band & venue management — the full picture, not just the fader
  • Lug-in to pack-down — Craig has done every role in live production
